For those of you unfamiliar with Oxford, there is basic travel advice on the University webpages:
http://www.ox.ac.uk/visitors_friends/maps_and_directions/directions.html
You are strongly advised to come to Oxford by train or bus, unless your hotel has car-parking facilities, as car parking in Oxford is limited; there is none at the St Cross building except by prior arrangement. If you are flying to Gatwick or Heathrow, then the ‘Airline’ coach service goes direct to Oxford and is therefore simpler than the trains via London.
The St Cross Building (not to be confused with St Cross College, which is elsewhere in town), is located at the edge of the main university area, reached by Longwall St from the south, and South Parks Rd from the north. For a Google map, see here.
If you are walking from the centre of town, the simplest route is east along Broad St., east along Holywell St., then north up St Cross Road.
The BBC News website has a five-day local weather forecast.
