The Brilliant Club invites applications from BSLS Members to their tutoring scheme.
The Brilliant Club is an education charity that mobilises the postgraduate community to support less advantaged students to access the most competitive universities, and succeed when they get there. They do this by training tutors to deliver The Scholars Programme to students aged 8-18 in non-selective state schools in England and Wales.
Tutoring with The Brilliant Club is a paid, meaningful public engagement and professional development opportunity for PhD students and graduates. Brilliant Club tutors communicate their research to non-specialist audiences, gain valuable teaching experience and develop their skills in curriculum design. Tutors earn from £550 per placement and gain expert pedagogical training.
Tutors working with The Brilliant Club will:
- Get expert pedagogical training and real experience to develop teaching and other transferable skills
- Earn from £550 per placement, an additional £121 for designing a new course and travel expenses (plus up to £80 London weighting)
- Join a nationwide community of like-minded researchers making a significant impact on university access
They welcome applications at any time, but would encourage you to submit your application by Sunday 28th May. For more information please email, and to apply, visit their website.
