Commission on Science, Technology and Diplomacy (STAND) Early Career Officer Opportunity

STAND is looking for early career scholars – either PhD students or those within the first few years of sitting their viva – who are interested in taking over responsibility for our early career activities. Your research interests should broadly align with STAND’s (i.e. be focused on science diplomacy, including medicine, technology, innovation diplomacy etc.)

The main responsibility of the role will be organising our Early Career Seminar series. You will also be expected to attend monthly STAND Committee meetings and to get involved in other STAND activities as they relate to early career scholars.

This is a role that can be shared between two or more individuals, so please don’t think that you have to take it on alone. If multiple people are interested, we can arrange a division of responsibilities, which has worked very well in the past. I will also be on hand to help with the transition, so we can make this as phased as you like. Feel free to team up with a colleague, or to reach out individually and I can put you in contact with anyone else who has expressed interest.

If you are interested, please let Alice Naisbitt know by the end of May by sending an email to stand.ecr@gmail.com.
